Overview

A Global Block is a block or set of multiple blocks that can be customized, saved, and re-used throughout your store. Once a Global Block is created, it will retain its design and function when added to a page. Anytime a change is made to the Global Block, that block will instantly update across every page itโ€™s added to. Global Blocks can include elements such as text, images, buttons, headers, footers and more!

Global Blocks save you time and effort by streamlining the design process, making it easier to update and maintain pages. These blocks are also team-friendly, ensuring that the correct design and function is maintained when multiple team members access and work inside the Zipify Pages app.

Getting Started with Global Blocks

To access the Global Blocks section in the app for the first time, hover over the "Global" section in the sidebar and select "Blocks":

Then click the "Get Started" button there:

On the Global Blocks screen, you will be presented with the options to create a global:

  • ZP Header (1)

  • ZP Footer (2)

  • Content Block (3)

The global ZP Header and Footer are the primary header and footer intended for use across all your Zipify Pages. These blocks can be quickly added to any page by enabling the "Use my Global Header/Footer" switcher inside the builder:

A global Block is a block that can be used across any page by adding it from the "Global Blocks" section inside the Block Library located in the builder. There's currently no limit to the number of global blocks which can be created, but each global block can only be added to a particular page once!

๐Ÿ“Header/Footer blocks created in the global "Blocks" section will function like any other global block and will not have their own switcher inside the builder.
