Overview

A Global Section is a single section or set of multiple sections that can be customized, saved, and re-used throughout your store. Once a Global Section is created, it will retain its design and function when added to a page. Anytime a change is made to the Global Section, that section will instantly update across every page it’s added to. Global Sections can include elements such as rows, columns, text, images, buttons and more!

Global Sections save you time and effort by streamlining the design process, making it easier to update and maintain pages. These sections are also team-friendly, ensuring that the correct design and function is maintained when multiple team members access and work inside the Zipify Pages app.

Getting Started with Global Sections

To access Global Sections in the app for the first time, click on the "Global" link (1) in the sidebar, then select "Global Sections" (2):

Then click the "Get Started" button there:

On the Global Sections screen, you will be presented with the options to create a global:

  • ZP Header (1)

  • ZP Footer (2)

  • Content Sections (3)

The global ZP Header and Footer are the primary header and footer intended for use across all your Zipify Pages. These sections can be quickly added to any page by enabling the "Use my Global Header" and/or "Use my Global Footer" switchers within the Page Settings > Layout section in the builder:

A global content Section is a section that can be used across any page by adding it from the "Global Sections" category inside the Sections Library located in the builder. Header/Footer sections created in global content "Sections" will function like any other global section and will not have their own switcher inside the builder.

There's currently no limit to the number of global sections which can be created, but each global section can only be added to a particular page once.
