Overview
Offer Translations allows you to translate your Post-purchase upsell offers into multiple languages, ensuring a seamless experience for international customers. This feature automatically matches the language your customers use while shopping on your store, displaying the translated version of your offer to help increase conversions across different markets.
📝 Post-purchase offers do not support multi-currency checkouts. To display post-purchase offers, the checkout must be completed in your store's default "store currency", as set in your Shopify admin.
On Post-purchase offer pages, there are two types of text elements included (More details in the table below):
Dynamic - Automatically updates based on the product and offer details, including the product title, description (variable), variant title, subtotal, shipping, taxes, and total.
Static - Fixed content that remains the same for all customers, such as timer text, payment disclaimer, content 1 & 2 copy, USP text, etc.
OCU pulls translations for dynamic text from the published languages in Settings > Languages of your Shopify admin. These translations are sourced from and edited in the "Shopify Translate & Adapt" app.
For static text, you can manually enter translations for each language directly in the OCU offer editor. Any modifications to static texts for a specific language will be saved exclusively for that offer.
Setting Translations in the Offer Editor
Within the Post-purchase offer editor, your store's default language will be displayed. The language selector will only appear if you've added and published at least one additional language at Settings > Languages in your Shopify admin.
If your store supports multiple languages, all published languages from your Shopify admin will be displayed. However, languages which have not been enabled in the Settings > Languages section of the OCU app will have the (Draft) label indicator:
You'll be able to add translations by clicking on the language selector. Click the dropdown menu to select your preferred language. Once selected, the language will be applied to all dynamic text elements in the offer builder automatically.
Static text elements can be clicked on and manually translated into the selected language using the text editor. Once translations are added, click the Save button to save changes and store the translation:
It's highly recommended to ensure that all post-purchase upsells are fully translated prior to enabling the language in OCU Settings. Once the language is enabled in OCU Settings, it will be applied across all of your post-purchase upsells:
Enabling Translations in Settings
After translating both Dynamic and Static text elements on all Post-purchase offer pages, the next step is to enable the language in OCU Settings and make it live on your store.
📝 Dynamic text elements should be translated in the Shopify Translate & Adapt app.
To do so, navigate to Settings > Translations within the OCU app. All of the published languages in your Shopify admin will be displayed:
Enable the language by switching the toggle to the "ON" position, then click the "Save" button:
📝 Your store's default language is always enabled. If a specific language is not enabled, customers will see all text on post-purchase pages in your store's default language. Similarly, if a specific language is enabled but a translation has not been provided for a particular text element, it will appear in your store's default language.

The "Save as Default" Setting
If you're happy with the edits you've made to a post-purchase offer page, you can save them as the default. Once saved, these styles and changes will automatically apply to new post-purchase offer pages you add to funnels:
Additionally, if translations are applied and saved for certain text that follows the default-saving logic, the text will be preserved in multiple languages. This helps save time by eliminating the need to manually reapply translations for each new post-purchase offer page added to funnels. Once saved, the translated text is automatically carried over, ensuring consistency across multiple languages with minimal effort.
For the full list of text elements and settings that are saved/not saved by default, refer to the table in this article.
