The AI model begins analyzing store data as soon as the OCU app is installed. When a customer adds product(s) to their cart, our AI analyzes the cart's content and suggests recommended products based on those item(s).
📝 To qualify for this feature, you must have products in your catalog. Additionally, to determine bestselling products, you need to have at least one order record.
Adding an AI Generated Cart Drawer Offer
Follow the quick and easy steps below to add an AI Generated Cart Drawer Upsell offer to your upsell funnel:
1. Within the "Funnels" section of the app, either click on an existing funnel (1) you'd like to add the offer to or on the "Add New Funnel" button to add a new one:
2. On the the Funnel Edit screen, click on the "✨ Generate AI Offer" button located below the "OCU Slide Cart Drawer" section:
3. That's it! The AI Generated Cart Drawer Upsell offer will be added to your funnel:

Working with the Offer Editor
The majority of settings for the dynamic AI Generated offer editor are the same as for regular non-dynamic Cart Drawer Upsell offers, with a few exceptions. More details about working with the Cart Drawer Upsell offers editor here.
Text fields which are editable can be edited by hovering over and clicking on the field:
You can modify product texts individually for each item. However, please note that the final product selection will be dynamically determined based on the specific cart items, so adjustments should be made carefully.
📝Due to the dynamic nature of the offer, it's recommended to use the default {{ product_title }} variable for the Product Title field.
Buy Box
Any settings applied in the Buy Box will be uniformly applied to all products in the Dynamic AI offer. For example, if a discount type and amount are set in the builder, it will apply to all products in the offer with no ability to set individual discounts for each product.
📝 Fixed amount discounts are not available for Dynamic offer types. Only percentage discounts, "Compare at price" discounts, or no discount can be applied.
In this section you will also find the following settings which are exclusive to the Dynamic AI offer type.
Recommendation Type
Select one of the following recommendation types for the Slide Cart Upsell Dynamic AI offer:
Recommended Products: OCU AI suggests products based on the customer's past orders (if applicable) and related items, delivering personalized recommendations tailored to their preferences.
Bestselling Products: Displays the top-selling products from the last 60 days, highlighting popular items among all customers.
You can easily identify the selected recommendation type for the offer from the Funnel Details page. The corresponding product name will be displayed on the offer card:
📝The "Recommended Products (OCU AI)" option will be preselected by default when a Dynamic AI offer is created.
Max Number of Products
Set the maximum number of products to display in the Dynamic AI offer. If fewer products are available than the set limit, the offer will display all available products up to the set limit.
OCU will display the maximum number of available and relevant products, without exceeding the specified limit. If no bestselling or recommended products are available, the offer will not be shown.
Previewing the Offer with Store Product(s)
To preview Dynamic AI offer with store products, click the "select a product to preview" link located at the top of the editor:
Next, select the product(s) you want to use for the preview in the "Select products" popup. Then click the "Select" button:
The offer builder will update to show your selected products:
Excluding Product(s) to use for the Offer
There may be specific product(s) that you don't want the Dynamic AI Generated offer to use and show to customers. To account for that, use the "Exclude products" setting located in the more actions menu of the offer card:
Select the product(s) you want excluded in the popup by checking the box next to each one, then click the "Select" button:
The number of product(s) you've excluded will be listed below the offer card. Changes to the exclusion list can be made at any time by clicking the "Change" link:
