The AI model begins analyzing store data as soon as the OCU app is installed. When a customer adds product(s) to their cart, our AI analyzes the cart's content and suggests recommended products based on those item(s).
📝 To qualify for this feature, you must have products in your catalog. Additionally, to determine bestselling products, you need to have at least one order record.
Adding an AI Generated Pre-purchase Offer
Follow the quick and easy steps below to add an AI Generated Pre-purchase offer to your upsell funnel:
1. Within the "Funnels" section of the app, either click on an existing funnel (1) you'd like to add the offer to or on the "Add New Funnel" button to add a new one:
2. On the the Funnel Edit screen, click on the "✨ Generate AI Offer" button located below the "Pre-purchase" section:
3. That's it! The AI Generated Pre-purchase offer will be added to your funnel. Next, you can edit the offer using the Pre-purchase offer editor. See below for more details.

Working with the Offer Editor
The majority of settings for the dynamic AI Generated offer editor are the same as for regular non-dynamic Pre-purchase offers, with a few exceptions. More details about working with the Pre-purchase offer editor here.
Certain text fields on the offer are not able to edited due to the dynamic nature of the offer. Text such as the Product title, Product description, Variant Title, and Product Variant will all be pulled from your Shopify product listing dynamically and displayed on the live offer popup. Text field which are editable can be edited by hovering over and clicking on the field:
📝If you remove the "Product description" text in the field, it will no longer appear on the live offer popup.
Display Offer
In the Display Offer tab of the builder, you can toggle on/off the following conditional settings:
Hide offer if the cart already contains the upsell product - The offer will not be shown if the cart already contains the same product as the offer.
Hide offer if the cart has subscription products - The offer will not be shown if the cart contains any subscription product(s).
Buy Box
All settings related to the offer product (image, discount, quantity, etc.) are located within the "BUY BOX" section of the editor:
Image Size / Image Border - Set the image size for the offer and toggle on/off an image border.
Allow SC Product Options - If you're using the SC Product Options app and want to have those product options displayed on the offer. More details.
Discount / Savings Label / Discount Title - Set a discount (if any) that you want to offer for the product in your pre-purchase popup. There are 4 options available:
None - No discount will be set or displayed for the offer product.
Percentage - Set a % based discount that applies to this offer only.
Fixed amount - Set a $ based discount that applies to this offer only.
📝To use Percentage or Fixed amount discounts, you must enable the "OCU Product Discount" automatic discount in the Discounts section of your Shopify admin.Compare at price - Show the product's "Compare at price" as the discount.

Hide Quantity Selector / Predefined Quantity - Toggle on/off the quantity selector and/or set a predefined quantity for the offer.
📝When predefined quantity is enabled, the quantity selector remains visible but is inactive. It's recommended to use predefined quantity along with displaying the quantity selector, so customers can see how many items they're adding.
Previewing the Offer with a Store Product
The offer editor for the Dynamic AI Generated offer is similar to the "Same product as added to cart" dynamic offer type available for Pre-purchase. Since each offer shown to the customer is unique and yet to be determined, a product placeholder is shown in the editor:
To preview how an actual offer product will be presented based on the settings chosen in the builder, click on the "select a product to preview" link to select a product:
Excluding Product(s) to use for the Offer
There may be specific product(s) that you don't want the Dynamic AI Generated offer to use and show to customers. To account for that, use the "Exclude products" setting located in the more actions menu of the offer card:
Select the product(s) you want excluded in the popup by checking the box next to each one, then click the "Select" button:
The number of product(s) you've excluded will be listed below the offer card. Changes to the exclusion list can be made at any time by clicking the "Change" link:
