How do I manage product categories and taxonomy?
Product categories (taxonomy) are managed in your Shopify admin, not in ShopRank AI. However, ShopRank AI validates your category selections:
The Product Taxonomy Depth check verifies your product category is at least 3 levels deep
Deeper categories help AI search engines classify your products more accurately
To improve your taxonomy score:
Go to Shopify admin → Products → [Product].
Find the Product category field.
Select the most specific category available (e.g., "Apparel & Accessories > Clothing > Dresses" instead of just "Apparel").
Save in Shopify. ShopRank AI will automatically detect the change and re-validate.
