The AI Copy Generator (the "AI Writing" tool built into the inline text editor) writes it for you in seconds, tailored to the exact field, offer, and product you're working on. Open it, pick a suggestion or describe what you want, and drop the result straight into your offer.
Where you can use it
The AI Copy Generator is available from the inline text editor toolbar across all OCU offer types:
Post-Purchase: Single, Multiple, Dynamic "Same as bought", and Dynamic AI Recommended
Pre-Purchase: Add to Cart, Upgrade, Multiple, Dynamic "Same as added to cart", and Dynamic AI Recommended
Product Page Upsell: Add-on and Cross-sell

You'll find it on the text fields these offers use, including Headline, Subheadline, Timer text, Product description, Banner, and Content sections. The exact fields available depend on the offer type you're editing.
Opening the AI Copy Generator
Click into any supported text field to bring up the inline text editor, then click the ✨AI Writing button in the toolbar. This opens the AI suggestions popup.
You don't need to set anything up first. The moment the popup opens, it shows a set of Recommended suggestions already written for that specific field, offer, and product. To use one, click a suggestion to select it, then click Apply to insert it into your field and close the popup.
Adjusting the Tone and Goal
Want a different flavor? Two dropdowns at the top of the popup shape what the AI writes:
Tone sets the voice. Options: Friendly (default), Persuasive, Urgent, Playful, Professional, and Empathetic.
Goal sets the angle. Options: Reinforce value (default), Boost urgency, Highlight savings, Build trust, and Bundle appeal.
After changing either one, click Regenerate to refresh the suggestions with your new settings. Tone and Goal changes don't apply on their own. They take effect the next time you click Regenerate.
📝 If you choose the Highlight savings goal but the offer has no discount or free-shipping data to work with, the AI automatically falls back to Reinforce value so you still get usable copy.
Writing your own Custom prompt
If the recommended suggestions aren't quite right, you can tell the AI exactly what to write. On the fields that support it, you'll see a "What should AI write about?" box below the suggestions.
Type a short description of the copy you want.
Click Generate.
Review the result, then click Insert to add it to your field.
You can click Back to suggestions at any time to return to the recommended list.
📝 The custom prompt option is available on some field and offer combinations only, mainly product description and post-purchase content and headline fields. If you don't see it, the recommended suggestions and Regenerate are your options for that field.
Refining a generated result
Once the AI generates a result from your custom prompt, a row of quick actions lets you fine-tune it without starting over:
Improve — polishes the overall copy
Shorten — tightens it up
Add details — expands it with more specifics
Make it punchier — adds energy and impact
Simplify — makes it clearer and easier to read
Click one to rewrite the current result instantly. Only one quick action is active at a time. When you're happy with it, click Insert.
📝 Good to know
Nothing changes until you Apply or Insert. If you close the popup with Cancel or the X, your field stays exactly as it was.
There's a generation limit of 8 requests per minute, per store. If you hit it, you'll see a short message asking you to wait a moment and try again. This is normal, just give it a few seconds.

No. The popup opens with recommended suggestions already written for your field, offer, and product. Writing a custom prompt is optional and only available on certain fields.

No. Nothing is inserted until you click Apply (for a recommended suggestion) or Insert (for a custom result). Closing the popup discards any unused suggestions.
