Overview

The Settings section can be accessed by clicking the ⚙️ icon at the bottom of the app's left-side navigation menu.

General Settings

In the General settings section, you will find the "Application Status" and "Skip Cart" settings.

Application Status

OneClickUpsell needs to modify your Theme by adding our:

  • Snippet file: oneclickupsellapp-theme.liquid

  • Code to your theme.liquid file:
    {% render 'oneclickupsellapp-theme', oneclickupsellapp: oneclickupsellapp %} {% assign oneclickupsellapp = true %}

By enabling the app you give us permission to do so. The added code will not modify the appearance or styles of your storefront, only allow the app to function and increase your AOV 📈

Modification of the OCU snippet file and render code is not recommended. If you want to make some updates to the snippet file or "render" code in the theme.liquid file for any reason, please consult with our Support team first.

📝 We only include our Snippet file and code if you use the pre-purchase upsell type in your upsell funnels or have enabled the "Skip Cart" feature. It will not be included if only post-purchase and/or TY Page offers are used.

To Enable the OCU app, simply click the "Application Status" switch to the ON position. OCU will then start syncing information about your Shopify Products, which is a process that usually takes 30 seconds or less, depending on how many Products you have in your Shopify admin:

📝 Once the OCU app is enabled, any published funnels will start working immediately for new qualifying Orders.
The app can also be enabled by clicking the "Click here" link in the in-app banner that shows when the app is in a disabled state:

To Disable the OCU app, simply click the "Application Status" switch to the OFF position. Allow the app a few moments to fully disable. No new orders will show pre- or post-purchase offers when the app is disabled. Disabling the app also removes our Snippet file and Code from your Theme.

📝If you publish a new Theme, the OCU app automatically detects that and adds the app's Snippet file and code to the new Theme, so the app can function correctly.

Skip Cart

This setting allows your customers to skip the Cart Page on your store and initiate the Shopify Checkout directly from your Product (/product) and Collection (/collections) pages. This feature is not compatible with subscription, bundle, and pre-purchase apps (excluding the "Product page" location option for the OCU pre-purchase popup) as those rely on the Cart Page as a step in the order flow to function correctly.

This setting is also not compatible with the "Cart" destination available for Buy Boxes included in the Zipify Pages app.

To enable this setting, simply click the switcher to the ON position:

Pre-Purchase Settings

In the Pre-Purchase settings section, you decide on the "Cart Popup Frequency" setting for the pre-purchase upsell functionality on your store:

📝To prevent the possibility of a customer adding more than one pre-purchase offer to their order, it's recommended to choose either the "Show popup until accepted or declined" or "Show popup once per session" options.

  • Show popup every time: The pre-purchase offer will be shown every time the customer clicks on the Checkout button on the Cart page, regardless of whether the offer was already accepted or declined.

  • Show popup until accepted or declined: The pre-purchase offer will be shown with each click on the Checkout button on the Cart page until the offer is either accepted or declined. After that, the customer won’t see the pre-purchase popup again until the checkout is finished.

  • Show popup once per session: The customer will see the pre-purchase popup only once until the checkout is finished or until they start a new browsing session or use a different browser.

📝Important additional notes for the "Show popup once per session" option:

  • After the offer is accepted or declined, the popup won’t appear again until the checkout is finished.

  • After the popup is closed (no accept/decline action taken) it won’t appear again until the checkout is finished.

  • After the timer has run out, the customer will be directed to the checkout and the popup won’t appear again until the checkout is finished.

  • The offer popup will be shown only in the current browser tab and won’t appear in another tab if the customer repeats the flow there during the same browsing session.

Post-Purchase Settings

In the Post-Purchase settings section, you can enable/disable the "Remove Unpaid Item From Orders" setting. Sometimes an accepted post-purchase offer is not paid for because of payment processor decline or other errors. This setting is designed to eliminate removing unpaid items manually, so orders can be more efficiently fulfilled:

Enabled by default, this setting removes any unpaid post-purchase item from the Order automatically if payment is not processed and received for it in 65 minutes. Disable the setting if you want the unpaid post-purchase offer to remain on the order even after 65 minutes have passed.

  • Unpaid items can only be removed from Unfulfilled or Partially fulfilled Orders. We don’t remove items from orders with “Fulfilled” status.

  • We also can’t remove items from orders with “Cancelled”, “Archived” or “On hold” statuses.

  • When an unpaid item is removed from an order via Order Editing, it is tracked in the "Returns" column in your Shopify analytics.

📝 If the unpaid Post-purchase offer had Paid Shipping, then even after the unpaid item is removed from the order, the order will remain in the "Partially paid" status because we do not remove the unpaid shipping amount from the order.

TY Page Upsells

In the TY Page Upsells settings section, you can enable/disable the "Remove Unpaid Item From Orders" setting:

Enabled by default, this setting removes any unpaid TY Page Offers from Orders automatically after 30 minutes, if payment is not received before then. This setting acts on orders placed both on the Online Store and Shop sales channels. Disable this setting if you want the unpaid TY Page Offer to remain on the order, even after 30 minutes have passed.

  • When an unpaid item is removed from an order via Order Editing, it is tracked in the "Returns" column in your Shopify analytics.

📝 If the Cash on Delivery payment option is used on the TY Page make sure to disable the "Remove Unpaid Item From Orders" setting. Payment is not recognized at the time of purchase due to payment being required at the time of delivery. If "Remove Unpaid Item From Orders" is left enabled any TY Page COD 'Cash on Delivery' purchase will be removed from the order.

Plan & Billing

In the "Plan & Billing" section, you can see all of the information related to your OCU plan type (Basic or Plus), your next invoice total, when the next invoice will be charged and your billing history.
